My story starts with AIESEC….
August 23rd 2008, a chanced encounter with a group of students completely transformed my life. I had begrudgingly finished my 1st year in an engineering university, had no idea what I wanted to do in life and was slowly accepting that the best days of my life were behind me. Suddenly, I was sitting in a hall with another 70 new recruits of this youth run organisation called AIESEC, and for the first time I felt I had found my tribe.
This “tribe” was a bunch of cool non-conformist students, who knew how to have fun, were interested in youth leadership, cultural diversity and social impact. I got more value from my part-time volunteering work with AIESEC, than my expensive, 4-year long university .
In AIESEC, I was learning so much more than my university and the subjects I was interested in; human behaviour, psychology, leadership, entrepreneurship, social impact, emotional intelligence, and much more. All the learning was experiential, self-directed, and here’s the best part… had so much fun that I was looking forward to it everyday.
This experience got me deeply curious about 3 things that laid foundation for my life’s work:
- Building deeply-connected Tribes
- Obsession with Personal Transformation
- How to make our learning & education an exciting adventure
For the past decade I have learnt from the world’s best teachers in transformational education, joined global tribes, attended some of the most elite events around the world and been mentored by people like Jeffrey Perlman (Ex-CMO of Zumba, and one of the sweetest person alive), Vishen Lakhiani (Founder, Mindvalley), on creating deeply-connected tribes.
